| TYPE CAMP INDIA WILL BE BASED IN THE CITY OF CHENNAI (formerly Madras) on the South Eastern coast of India. There will be short trips to nearby towns and a trip to Bangalore to participate in a joint project with local Indian graphic design students.
We'll have a studio class every morning and will fill the afternoon with visiting local publishing houses, meeting and working with street typographers, doing type walks in local markets and working with local silk-screen printers. We will also visit ancient historic sites and learn a bit about the local Indian context and customs. You'll create and produce projects that can build upon or even divert from your communication design background. This is a trip for the intermediate or advanced student or professional. |
