LLUMS BOX is an architectural sculpture for this years Sculpture by the Sea exhibition, an annual sculpture event held between Sydney's Bondi and Tamarama Beach along the coastal walk. The piece is made entirely of plantation timber pallets and lights powered by batteries charged during the day by solar panels. The sculpture is about light, during the day the sunlight filters and dances to animate the box through which you can walk through; at night it becomes a lantern which can be viewed from the all around the area where it sits in an 'amphitheatre' of Tamarama Beach. It’s built on top of a concrete storm water drain. Exhibition 29th October - 15th November.
